Relationships

Your partner and your wider circle, planned by two planners because close relationships and a social life need different things.

Relationships is one area you install, but it runs two planners. One works on your closest relationship, the other on your wider circle. They need different things: a partner needs attention that is regular and unhurried, a social circle needs contact that does not quietly lapse. Planning both with one set of rules produces bad weeks for both.

The Relationships area

Your partner

The profile holds what is true about the relationship right now: what you are working on together, what has been good, what has been difficult.

Date ideas is a list you build up so that the moment you have an evening free you are not starting from nothing. It keeps three kinds:

  • Date night ideas, the proper ones that need planning.
  • Micro-connection, the small things that fit in twenty minutes and are what most weeks actually have room for.
  • Tried and loved, the ones that worked, so good evenings become repeatable instead of forgotten.

The planner draws from these when it puts connection time in your week, which is why the list is worth adding to when you think of something rather than when you need it.

Your wider circle

People. A roster of the people who matter, with what you know about them. This is what turns a generic "see friends" block into a specific one.

Social log. Who you actually saw, and when. Over time this is the thing that makes a lapse visible: a friendship you would have said was fine, with nothing logged for four months.

Gifts. A tracker with three parts: upcoming occasions so birthdays stop arriving as surprises, history so you do not repeat yourself, and standing notes for the things people mention in passing that you would otherwise forget by the time it matters. Gifts can also be read by person, so everything you know about what to get someone sits in one place.

What the planner does with it

Both planners read the same week and propose into it. Upcoming occasions pull forward as they approach, so gift-buying gets time before the week it is needed rather than during it. Time since last contact influences who comes up.

Nothing here fires automatically. asambl proposes connection time and you accept, amend, or skip it like any other block.

Where it lives

Relationships stores its files in two folders under 20_Life_OS/Relationships/, one per planner:

20_Life_OS/Relationships/
  Harmonia/
Romantic_Profile.md your partner and what you are working on
DateIdeas.md date night, micro-connection, tried and loved
  Philotes/
    Social_Profile.md the people who matter
SocialLog.md who you saw, and when
    GiftTracker.md occasions, history, standing notes

The folder names are internal planner names and are the only place they surface. Everything inside is plain Markdown, readable in any editor.
