Work & Career
Protecting focus time around the meetings you already have, and keeping the career moves you keep deferring moving.
Work & Career is the one area where most of your commitments already exist before asambl sees them. Your job is on your calendar. So this area does not try to plan your job; it plans around it, and it keeps the career work you actually control from being crowded out.

Your working shape
Your career profile holds what you do, the hours you work, and what you are trying to move towards. The Work planner reads it to decide two things: where your focus time can realistically go, and which career moves are worth a block this week.
Focus time
Meetings arrive whether or not you planned them. What does not arrive on its own is the uninterrupted stretch either side of them.
The planner reads what is already committed on your calendar and protects focus blocks in the gaps that are genuinely usable, sized to the week you actually have rather than the week you wish you had. A week stacked with meetings gets fewer, shorter blocks rather than an aspirational schedule you will abandon by Tuesday.
The career pipeline
Alongside the week, this area keeps a pipeline of the roles and opportunities you are pursuing. Each row holds the role, the organisation, where it stands, your next step, and when that step is due.
Statuses move through researching, warm lead, applied, and interviewing while a lead is live. Parked and offer are treated as deliberate rests, not stalls, so they are left alone.
Leads that have gone quiet
asambl flags an active lead when it has no next step, or when its next step's due date has passed. The point is not to nag. A live lead with nothing scheduled against it is not progressing, and it needs a decision, either drop it or do the next thing, rather than another week of sitting there.
Career moves in the week
The career work that slips is rarely urgent: the conversation you meant to have, the application you meant to finish, the skill you meant to start. Because none of it has a deadline, none of it gets a slot.
Turning this area on means those moves compete for time alongside everything else, and get scheduled at a size the week can absorb rather than all at once.
